FourWard is the shared framework of the four anchor institutions in Jerusalem’s Innovation District. We connect researchers, capabilities and infrastructure with challenges from academia, industry and collaborations with government ministries, creating the conditions and tools for cross-institutional collaboration and applied research.

We invite researchers, research groups and companies to submit original ideas for meaningful research questions. These ideas require expertise, researchers, laboratories and infrastructure from FourWard’s four founding institutions.

We are looking for a research challenge that requires a cross-institutional research group

This call is not looking only for a finished research proposal. We are looking for an exceptional question or need with professional relevance and the potential to spark genuine collaboration across disciplines and institutions. The selected idea will be one around which a multidisciplinary, cross-institutional research team can be built, creating a joint initiative with real potential for application.
An early-stage idea is welcome
You may submit an idea on its own or with a proposed research team. A full proposal, detailed budget or supporting documents are not required at this stage.

The selected group receives complementary funding to prepare the application.
