The community’s role

A human and professional foundation for joint research

The research community will operate as an ongoing professional framework for researchers, research students and professionals from the four anchor institutions. Through meetings, visits, professional dialogue and the presentation of initiatives, members will become familiar with the expertise, laboratories, infrastructure and research directions available in each institution and among fellow community members.

This shared knowledge and professional connection will help FourWard identify research combinations, form groups around defined challenges and advance joint initiatives. At the same time, the community will strengthen a sense of belonging to the Innovation District and Jerusalem while deepening the professional opportunities created in the city.

A space built together

Shared knowledge begins with knowing the research landscape

The community will enable participants to see the wider landscape in which they work: the people, capabilities and infrastructure across the four anchor institutions. It will create a shared professional foundation from which focused research work can develop.

An ongoing connection among research, challenges and talent

FourWard advances collaborations with companies and partners in the Jerusalem ecosystem and integrates them into community activity. Ongoing dialogue enables community members to understand real industry needs and challenges, identify relevant research questions and develop professional working relationships.

At the same time, the connection gives industry access to a community of researchers, research students, high-quality talent and research capabilities across the four institutions.
